GALLERY OF ARTISTIC PHOTOGRAPHY BY MACIEJ BYCZKOWSKI
The magic art of Nomads from all over the world shown by the camera of Maciej Byczkowski, a traveller and artist photographer. The author portrays the Gipsy artists, their everyday life and the moments of their performance on the stage.
Yatra Dromenca gallery is an exceptional presentation of the unusual sensitivity of Gipsy culture which comprises a number of influences and accents within one single style. The modern forms of photography are creating a bridge between the real world and that which can be called a part of imagination. The pictures are emanating the colour and energy. The author is interpreting in a picturesque way the symbols and reference which are characteristic for the culture of Nomands. He awakens the dreams about wandering towards the freedom and happiness.
Maciej Byczkowski has been interested in the art of Nomads from all over the world, for many years. He had the opportunity to get to know the true life of Gipsy artists. He accompanied them with his camera both in everyday life and on the stage during performance. The heroes of photographs from Yatra Dromenca collection are excellent dancers and musicians from Andalusia, France, Russia, Balkan countries and Poland who perform during international festivals of Gipsy culture or in flamenco taverns , as well as anonymous unusual artists living in the desert land of Indian Rajasthan.
